They were excellent. We only planned on doing the middle section and when we emailed with a couple different ideas, they were really helpful in suggestions for how to organise our itinerary to best suit our plans. The bags were picked up and dropped off with great care. A big thank you as well as the guys were flexible to our change in plans as we had to change our accommodation last thing due to camping equipment issues. This allowed us to have a much better night’s sleep so thank you!

Sorry it’s taken me a little while to get round to this but I just wanted to thank you for the service you provided for our Hadrian’s Wall walk.
Everything worked like clockwork, and to be confident that our bag was going to be waiting for us when we arrived everywhere was a massive help.
We had a slight hiccup with our booking at The Robin Hood, but they were great in accommodating us anyway. My biggest concern was whether that might have had an effect on our bag delivery, but of course it was still there waiting for us anyway, just as instructed!
I slightly underestimated the length of the walk between Twice Brewed and Garthside Farm, so I was in the doghouse when we arrived. But the bag was already in our pod so we were able to hit the hot tub straight away and all troubles were forgotten!
We were slightly worried on the weight – we weighed everything before we left but of course a few things were swapped in and out along the way, but there was no issue.
We only caught sight of one of your drivers once all week at Twice Brewed where you seemed to be doing a roaring trade!
So thanks for making our walk possible – we had a superb time and wouldn’t hesitate to use you again in the future!
We’re already planning our next adventure now that we know that there are great companies like yours that can do the heavy lifting.

I highly highly recommend Hadrian’s Haul!! They are amazing and exceeded all of my expectations. They worked with me to pay for my service on the first day to avoid wiring the money from the US. They helped me figure out how to get a bus to Carlisle while the trains were on strike (not even their job, but helped me anyway!). They added a day last minute when my plans changed. It was such a relief to have my bags at my accommodations for the night. After a long day of walking, it felt like I was being pampered to have all my stuff magically waiting for me! Oh also, the staff is SUPER friendly and SUPER responsive if you have questions. I couldn’t recommend them more!!! Book them, you will be so happy you did!!
The whole experience of using Hadrian’s Haul was faultless from start to finish. During the booking process, emails were replied to promptly and I was even able to speak to Mark (Managing Director) to ask some specific questions. The bags were collected and transferred to the next accommodation on time and always left in a secure location.

We used Hadrian’s Haul in summer 2024 for west to east walk. Mark was superb coming back quickly with the quote. Based on what he said we refined our accommodation. The bags were picked up on time any always there when we arrived. We had some last minute complications with a member who could not travel due to severe family illness and Mark sorted it all out for me over the phone. I highly recommend.

During a recent hiking trip to Hadrian’s Wall, my family & I arranged for Hadrian’s Haul to transfer our bags to each town where we were booked to stay. I started the Hadrian’s Wall walk and carried all my camp stuff in a rucksack. I underestimated how crippling this was lol. After 2 days I’d had enough. Anyways I called Mark and asked if could transfer my rucksack the following day. This was at 6pm so very little notice. Mark was fantastic, with excellent combination and sorted everything. The last day I needed my bag taking but couldn’t work out where I should send my bag as I was not staying anywhere. Again, Mark, found a solution!! He suggested using Stasher website. He would deliver my bag to anywhere in Newcastle so I could pick it up within a 12 hour period. Brilliant.
Mark and his business made everything so easy so I could continue on my adventure without this lump on my back. Absolutely brilliant. Mark is awesome and offers a first class service. 1000 percent would always use him if I was in the same situation.

I’ve just completed a little trip to Hadrian’s Wall – mainly visiting sites of interest. Our bags were moved each day by Hadrian’s Haul. Very efficient and reliable – but also helpful! Hadrians Haul was the saviour of our trip. We planned to carry it all along the 84 miles of the Wall but when we got there we realised this was a big ask. Luckily they were able to fit us in at the last minute and took our bags to all our overnight accommodation. It meant we could enjoy the walk much more and had the energy to go round more of the forts and sights on the route. Really first class, friendly service. 100% would recommend.

Hadrian’s Haul moved my backpack between the 28th March and 2nd April whilst I concentrated on tackling Hadrian’s Wall. There is absolutely no way I could have made it carrying my backpack, especially up and down the crags in the middle (most scenic) section. Completely reliable, bags were waiting for me every day when I arrived exhausted. It also acted as that motivation to keep going too rather than calling it a day when I’d had enough. There is no way I could have completed in 7 days otherwise. Very competitive pricing too, I cannot understand why anyone would want the hassle of carrying their own bag. Very amenable to late changes to plans as things undoubtedly do change as you progress on your walk. Simple booking, I booked the day before.

Perfection! At the very last minute – an error on our part – we failed to connect properly and make the reservations in advance – and they bent over to accommodate us! Originally we chose the company on Google that was the “sponsored” listing. Much to our great dismay, they refused to respond, but rather passed our information on to Hadrian’s Haul. We only discovered that when we called Hadrian’s and they were aware of our intinerary, having received it from the other firm. Our strong opinion to choose Handrian’s Haul first and always cannot be overstated. Wanted to add another review to say that I used Hadrian’s Haul / Hadrian’s Bags (they seem to go by both names) for my Hadrian’s Wall walk and it all worked like clockwork with my bag always magically being at the new place arrived! It all felt very organised – they add a label to your bag with its itinerary which I found reassuring and they also managed to deliver and collect from the airbnb that I stayed at. Having done another National Trail carrying all my stuff, I really appreciated how much more pleasant and enjoyable it was not doing so!
Hadrian’s Haul was a godsend. The process worked perfectly. Our bags left and arrived at our designated spots as if by magic. It took a lot of pressure off knowing our bags were in good hands and would be in the right place at the right time.
Did a fair bit of research to arrange a bike ride following Hadrian’s Wall with the requisite stops for those of us who prefer to meander 🙂 and was really delighted with the service from Hadrian’s Haul. Bags were collected and delivered promptly and would recommend to cyclists and or walkers. Thanks once more for your service.

I’d never used a baggage transfer company before so it felt like dipping your toe in the water. And leaving your bag on the first day felt like waving goodbye and thinking that’s the last time I’ll see that!! So was thankfully reassured that our bag was waiting patiently at each days stop over.
The whole process was seamless and efficient. Even when we had a slight hitch with one days pick up, Mark knew before me and we made the necessary alterations without any fuss. Thought the cost was very reasonable as well.
I can’t see why anyone would carry all their kit as opposed to using such a fantastic service!!

A flawless professional service. We enjoyed a fabulous three days running Hadrian’s Wall enjoying the beautiful landscape and history. It was just such a delight to find our suitcases pristinely waiting for us at each overnight stop. Such a good service. 5 of us (2 adults 3 children and 2 dogs) walked Hadrian’s Wall planning to carry everything and thinking we had both bought and packed light. Day 1 revealed that we had not packed light enough. A middle of the night email was responded to early the next morning and a burden was lifted. We shed a couple of bags whilst 3 of us still carried some items. The service was impeccable. Bags always arrived at the destination by the time promised. Any questions were answered promptly and knowledgeably. For the final leg into Newcastle they suggested we use the stasher service which left our bags sitting at a hotel a short walk from Newcastle train station where we were able to pick them up before heading back to Carlisle. We probably could have managed to continue to carry everything but it would have restricted what we would have been able to see along the way and would also have made the days longer. I would thoroughly recommend making use of the service even if only for some of your items. There was a feeling of trepidation and excitement the first day when we opened the container to see if our bags had arrived but after that you just knew it was going to happen. You did need to ensure the bags were packed and ready to go by 9 so no lie ins but we were there to walk the wall and with the distances involved it was far better to be up and away than hanging around in the morning.
I called Mark, in the middle of our seven day walk along the wall, and with intermittent signal, eventually arranged collection of our bags the next day (this was at about 6.00 pm). Despite the late notice, our bags were collected and delivered along the route, without a hitch. Brilliant service!

From the first contact Mark was just so easy to deal with. His service is first class – 11 out of 10. In an age when we generally get poor service and terrible communication, Hadrian’s Wall Bags is the complete opposite.
Mark knew all the locations we’d booked and just took care of our bags – Easy. They were collected after we left each morning and were waiting for us at the next stop over – 6 days.
If you’re walking Hadrian’s Wall, I’d recommend you walk with a day rucksack and let Hadrian’s Bags deal with the luggage.

Me and my wife recently completed the Hadrian’s Wall Walk and used the services of Hadrian’s Wall Baggage Transfer to move our luggage between stops so we could hike without the need too carry a load of extra equipment. I wasn’t sure how everything would work (especially with COVID restrictions) but every morning we simply left our bags at the places we’d stayed and arrived to our next stop to find them waiting! (ranging from an Airbnb to YHA to hotel).
Hadrian’s bags knew all the places we stayed (even the Airbnb) so all ran super smoothly without us having to contact the places we were staying beforehand- zero hassle.
To book, we simply sent our itinerary to Hadrian’s bags via email, and Mark went above and beyond to help find a place where we could leave our bags on day 1.
All super safe and secure.
We saw so many people on the walk with big bags who looked utterly miserable (and in pain!). This is such a simple and cheap solution and really made it possible for us to enjoy our walk (and avoid back/neck pain). Absolutely fab and worth every penny!!

I used Hadrian’s Wall baggage transfer for a recent walking holiday and it was fantastic! The luggage was always there when I arrived and it was ridiculously easy. As my partner and I were staying a little longer in the region after the walk, it allowed us to bring books and other items that we would never have been able to carry but, more importantly, it meant we could really enjoy the walk – even with a fair bit of rain! I would highly recommend this service which is excellent value and, in our experience, totally seamless! All the places we stayed along the wall knew the company and were used to linking up with them. Absolutely money well spent and thanks to them for the excellent service. Would definitely use them again.
The service this company provided for us, at a very short notice, on the section between Gilsland and Heddon was excellent. Carrying fairly heavy loaded rucksacks would have turned this lovely walk into a chore. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I decided halfway through my walk of Hadrian’s wall to use a baggage transfer service. The owner of the B&B recommended this company. Even though they were notified after 6.30pm, they worked me into the schedule for the next day. I also made a couple “last minute” changes to my itinerary and they remained flexible, professional, and courteous. I highly recommend them and would use them again if the need arose.
Very impressed with what Mark’s team provided. I just left my bags with the host and they arrived at my next destination.
They are well established in the area, with the local B&B owners that I stayed with recommending them over other similar services. I also couldn’t find another company below their price point either, true quality and fair pricing.
I honestly wouldn’t have been able to complete the walk without this service as my feet and shoulders were in dire straits from a carrying loaded rucksack.

A friend and I had planned to walk the wall over 4 days carrying our own bags. Unfortunately both of us picked up foot injuries on day 2 of our trip. Thankfully we were able to continue some of our trip thanks to a lightened load.
We arranged for both our bags to be carried to the next bnb on our route for day 3 and only took a small daysack with us. It was quick and easy to organise and our bags made it to our bnb well before we did. We simply left them labelled up in the morning and they were picked up with no dramas and for a bargain price too!
Unfortunately we didn’t get to complete day 4 of our wall walk due to our injuries but we are already making plans to return, this time with baggage transfer! Couldn’t recommend more.
